The Goal Pass, and what "doing your part" means
Plain terms for the one-time payment offered when you finish setting up your plan.
What you are buying
One payment. It covers you until the date we projected you reach your goal weight, and it does not renew. When that date arrives, the payment has done what it was sold to do, and nothing is charged again.
The reduced price belongs to the plan calculated at that moment. It stays available for one week from the day your plan is built.
The guarantee
If that date arrives, you did your part, and you are not at your goal weight yet, you keep using the app free until you get there.
Access is extended in 30-day stretches. Each time one runs out we look again: as long as you are still doing your part and still have not arrived, it keeps being extended. If you reach your goal weight, the promise was kept and nothing more is needed.
What "doing your part" means
Three things, all measured over the whole time since you bought the pass, and all at the same rate: two days out of every three.
- Confirm your days. Two out of every three days have a confirmed log — the morning question where you tell us how close your logging was.
- Eat your plan. Of the days you confirmed, two out of three are on plan. This is judged in one direction only. If your goal is to gain, only eating under your target counts against you — eating over it still gets you there. If your goal is to lose, it is the other way round. Days where no target was recorded are not counted either way.
- Weigh in. Two out of every three days have a weight. Entering it in the app always counts, whether or not you connected Apple Health.
Why that rate, and not something gentler
It is not a number we picked for this offer. It is what the app itself needs to work. ScaleSide re-infers your personal maintenance calories from how your weight actually responds to what you eat, and that calculation needs roughly two days in three of both kinds of data to mean anything.
The date we promised you is calculated assuming that recalibration happens. It even includes extra days to cover the period before the first one lands. Ask for less than this and we would be promising a date the app was never given the data to reach.
If you do not meet it
Access ends on the date you paid for, and the pass has still delivered exactly what it promised. You can keep using ScaleSide on any of the regular plans.
If you think a decision was wrong, write to andre.navas.r@gmail.com. Every decision is recorded with the numbers behind it, so it can be checked rather than argued about.
Payment
The Goal Pass is a non-renewing purchase through the App Store. It is tied to your ScaleSide account, not to a device, so signing in restores it. Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard terms.
